When's the last time you saw a new record shop in your neighbourhood? At 151 Willis Street in the Wellington CBD, the crew at the Samurai Store are bucking trends, catering to those who buy their music the old fashioned way: in person from a trusted expert, maybe even on vinyl. Samurai is run by NZ music legend Geoff Wright, aka DJ Presha (Samurai Music), with the help of heavyweight promoter Darryl McGown aka DJ dDog (Bass Frontiers) and DJ Excelle (Radio Active 89fm). They specialise in dnb and dubstep, and these are the gigs that they recommend.
