Marie Celeste has been managing, promoting, styling, DJing and playing in European- and NZ-based bands since the mid-nineties. She was an integral part of the early Christchurch rave scene, then moved to London, where after acquiring an obsessive love for Gravity Records she formed her first band, Idols Cracked Like Ice. Ten years in London saw several bands, tours with The Locust, the opening of a Shoreditch art gallery, the styling of dodgy Placebo videos and writing about her idols in Dazed & Confused magazine. Her previous incarnations span spazzy hardcore, gothic synth pop, shoe-gazing post hardcore, free noise, and indie DJ sets under the name Crystal Migraine. Currently she's one half of ravestep duo Pig Out. Her knowledge is wide, her taste impeccable...rave on.
