at Cabana Bar, 11 Shakespeare Road, Napier
Rock’n’roll 2 piece band Faster Pussycat Kill Kill on tour to celebrate the release of their new single 'Sebastian'.
Touring with Sixtyniner - aka Michiel Hoving, a Voodoo Rhythms recording artist from Holland.
It will be FPKK’s first national tour since returning from a 9 month stint playing shows around Europe.
The new single received Making tracks NZ on air funding, was produced by Nick Gaffney (Cairo Knife Fight, Anika Moa Band) and recored at Roundhead studios in Auckland.
About Sixtyniner:
Underground cartoon flash animator Hoving does it on his own now. Onemanband extravaganza!!!! Rocking the bulbs out of the lamps, the beer out of your glass and the earwax out of your ears. Making you cry with the pityful songs, laugh with the funny ones and blush with the dirty ones. Making you want to buy not one cd but 2 so you always have a spare. This is truly a lot of noise for a onemanband. but it sounds good.
( Rolling stoned magazine, 2011 )
About Faster Pussycat Kill Kill:
Formed in 2008 as a tongue-in-cheek take on the sixties surf and rockabilly sounds made famous by Wanda Jackson and more recently Brian Setzer, the band is currently moving away from 60’s rockabilly to their new original Trash Garage Pop.
