From the funkafied west coast of Canada, Stickybuds has been making his mark on music all over the globe. In the last few years he’s found himself performing in 14 different countries, captivating fans wherever he goes. His work ethic and passion have also earned him a residency at Canada’s Shambhala music festival (2005 – 2012), as well as performances at Glastonbury (UK), Splore Festival (NZ), Burning Man (USA) and the legendary Space club in Ibiza (ES).
With 20 releases on multiple labels, Sticky loves to create and play dance floor friendly music of many different tempo’s. His sets are filled with Funk, DNB, Glitch Hop, Reggae and Breaks all intricately woven through countless hours in the studio.
The end of 2012 will be an exciting one as lots of new music is on the way from the Sticky one. Tours in CA / AU / NZ / UK / US and Europe are also all being planned as you read this.
Expect even bigger things to come from the forward thinking and all around nice guy Stickybuds.
A very talented young Kiwi that describes himself as a soul bustin', jazz spankin', funk slangin' breaks monkey. He goes by the name of Funk Ferret, and he's the pride of all New Zealand funkers with his amazing array of edits and remixes. He also knows how to handle the ones and twos, and has some crazy knowledge of music tracing back many years. He's been making phat beats for more than a decade now, and has releases on Boogie Boutique, Bootie Pirates & Budabeats. - cribbed from his website.
About Randomplay: Auckland-based DJ, playing out since 2001. Started at Breakers Delight parties with A-Spark, Page3 and Loki. Has played club nights like Quality Breakers, Analog/Malfunksion, True Believers, Sumo, Beat Freaks, Dirty, Breakdown, Ronin Breaks, Deep Hard 'n' Funky, and outdoor festivals like Alpine Unity, Splore, Summadayze. Has supported Phil K (Oz), Nubreed (Oz), Tayo (UK), Defcon1 (Oz), Stanton Warriors (UK), Dopamine (Oz), Aural Trash (NZ!). Released The Kingsland Electro compilation CD with Demus in 2004. Regular show host on George FM. Fine dancer.
