Mantis with Apex and The Altered States

at Kings Arms, 59 France Street, Newton
Mantis will be making the trip from Christchurch up to the big smoke and be joining friends Apex and The Altered States for a huge night of high energy ROCK!

Mantis is a rock band that hails from Christchurch. These boys have been playing music together for almost three years and in other bands have already shared the stage with the likes of I am giant and played after partys for Metallica and were even booked to play the after party for Queens of the stone age! (which was cancelled due to the events in february 2011)
Their sound is said to be like a deftones and (early) incubus love child with a smidgen of Zepplen! These boys will be playing all round the south island this year so make sure you check out one of their shows! You wont be disappointed!

About Apex: Auckland-based producer, DJ. Plays on the darker, tougher side of breakbeat. Raised under the guiding light of Breakers Delight. Has supported Klaus Hill (Oz), Deekline & Wizard (UK), Baobinga & 30hz (UK), Paul Glazby (UK), Narc (AUS), Graddy G (Oz), Space sentinels (UK), Greg Churchill (NZ!). Co-hosts the Biggie Breaks show on UPFM 107.5, and fills in here and there on George FM. Produces dubstep under the name Echo.

The Altered States are a 5 piece post-hardcore outfit from Auckland's North Shore
