Auckland alternative metal visionaries NEW WAY HOME return to the live front this coming March at Karangahape Road's Rising Sun, with dynamic prog rockers DECORTICA in co-headlining tow.

Joining the party will be RESPORN, SNAKES OF IRON and RULE OF THIEVES to round off a stellar line-up of some of the most polished and precise local metal and hard rock the Auckland region has to offer.

To make this even sweeter (believe it or not, we can) we are doing a SWEET AS COMPETITION for ya'll!

Make the event poster your (Facebook) profile picture, then make a sweet post to the event wall.
The post that gets the most likes by the night prior to the gig will win a SWEET AS GIFT BAG!

This bag will contain the following -
1. Two door passes to the gig.
2. Two Jager shots to kick start your night, or end it ;)
3. A photo with all the band members together.
4. A signed CD from each of the bands.

To be in to win you have to keep your profile picture as the gig poster up till the night before the gig.

About Decortica: Auckland-based alternative rock three-piece. Debut album is A New Aesthetic (2009).

About New Way Home: Auckland-based metal five-piece formed in 2001. Have supported Killswitch Engage, Vision of Disorder, One King Down, Parkway Drive, Most Precious Blood, Sick Of It All, Brutal Truth, Mindsnare. Have played Big Day Out, Vans Warped Tour.

About Resporn: Auckland-based alternative metal four-piece. Evolving line up : Anthony Whitehead - vocals : Brad Stansell - drums : Dan Munro - bass : Andrew Smith - guitars

What began as a low key bedroom project between longtime friends Rory Hart and Dan Douglas has now become a 6 piece alternative influenced wall of noise, with a sound that ranges from beautiful to brutal.
