Friday night the 25th of January we're excited to present Simon Beeston playing the heart of the Auckland underground
- Ink Bar.
For the past 7 years expat-Kiwi, modern day Berliner Simon Beeston has been rocking dance floors across Europe, playing
the world's most forward thinking clubs such as Watergate, Panorama Bar and Tresor.
It has been his adventures in the infamous Berlin underground and afterhours scene however, that have seen
Simon take his craft to new levels. Clubs such as the eccentric circus of Bar 25 and KaterHolzig, the never-ending Golden Gate and the pontoons of Club Der Visionaere have given Simon the platform to hone his skills alongside the world's elite.
While Simon's DJing has led him far afield, as a producer it was his tight drum funk that caught the eyes and ears of some of the hippest imprints in Berlin house and techno. His home label Highgrade has been responsible for blueprinting much of the modern deep and tech house that has spread like wildfire across global dance floors in recent years.
Expect the freshest and tastiest treats all warped and wrapped to create a heaving mass of urban tech funk and mod house.

About Philippa: Well-known in the underground house music scene in Auckland. Daughter of a music teacher and has Diploma in Audio Engineering. Regularly tours New Zealand. Long-standing show host on George FM. Runs Soul Productions, which specialises in Chicago-styled house music nights.
About Matt Drake (from obscure.co.nz): "One of Aotearoa's most dynamic and energetic DJs...a leading figure in New Zealand's techno and electro scene since the early '90s."
Logan is into playing all genres of music but likes focusing on Quality over quantity. Building sets and loving to play for long lenths of time, Logan is a DJ who will thrive off the vibe and keep the pressure on when needed and relieve it when it’s a must. After 6 years of DJing and understanding the background of the Music industry from touring to throwing parties Logan Baker is a must see young up and coming DJ/Producer check him out for your self.
