Tragedy are one of the most innovative and exciting bands to come out of the US punk scene in years, and are touring Australasian shores for the first time ever this March.

Tragedy is a modern punk band originally from Memphis, Tennessee, but currently residing in Portland, Oregon. The band formed in 2000 and feature ex members of several influential bands such as His Hero Is Gone, Severed Head of State and Deaththreat. Tragedy draw influences from many various early punk bands, most prominently in the vein of d-beat, ranging from the seemingly ubiquitous Discharge, to the more underground such as Death Side.

Their music is characterized by its unrelenting, heavy rifts, often punctuated by melodic interludes and downshifts in tempo. The band remains strongly aware of its roots but often takes the genre in newer, more innovative direction and are anything but easy to define.

Tragedy’s first and subsequent albums have met with critical acclaim within the Punk community, and many fans see the band as at the forefront of a modern hardcore renaissance of sorts.

Tickets to all shows are extremely limited and pre sales are strongly advised as there will be no venue upgrades if shows sell out.
