Singer-songwriter and producer Maree Sheehan has been involved in the New Zealand music industry for more than 15 years.
She started playing piano when she was eight-years-old and wrote her first song when she was just 14. In the early 1990s she released her debut album; with a number of the songs making the New Zealand Top 20 Charts.
Sheehan’s music also featured in the soundtrack for the iconic Kiwi film 'Once Were Warriors' and in the film 'Broken English'.
Now after several years spent working behind the scenes – writing and producing songs for television and film and penning tracks for others – she is poised to step back into the spotlight with a stunning 10-track record 'Chasing The Light', which will be released on February 15.
The first single from the album 'Rock With Me' is available on iTunes now.
It is an honest album that takes you on a heartbreaking, yet joyous journey - delivered by one of the true stalwarts of New Zealand music.
