Chaos in the CBD consists of Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales, brothers from Auckland, New Zealand. They are two young talented producers with a deep house sound that is hype-worthy. With amazing tribal grooves that include great beats and awesome house synths, they bring the heat. (

The Beat Mafia (Phillip Haeder & Reuben Rivers-Smith) have risen through the ranks over the last 5 years and now solidified themselves as the go to guys for a high energy jack’n party atmosphere with the freshest electronic dance music the world has on offer.

Favouring heavy beats, uplifting melodies and bass line music, but with enough musical range to keep even the most intimate house venue’s grooving through the night, The Beat Mafia boys have become a regular favourite amidst the local dance scene and festivals throughout New Zealand.

Their solid reputation in NZ has lead them to travel all over New Zealand and popular venues through Australia whilst maintaining their club residency at “Be”, renowned to be one of the country’s best dance clubs. With releases on the Ministry of Sound’s sub label ‘Downright’ remixing electronic group South Central. As well as boutique underground house label “Bakehaus” run by Tom Piper with their original track ‘Trumpets on Heat,’ which has been featured on BBC Radio 1 by Kissy Sell Out, Annie Mac and by Trouble & Bass records head honcho Drop the Lime through his 2012 promo mix.

Having a radio show on New Zealand’s no.1 electronic and alternative radio station George FM 96.6 is another string to their bow. Where every Thursday night they host Beat Mafia Radio showcasing what is hot in electronic music from around the world to New Zealand ears.

The Beat Mafia have successfully toured some of the biggest names in electronic dance music over the last couple of years for example; DJ Fresh, Mylo, AC Slater, Mowgli, Treasure Fingers, Fukkk Offf and The Magician to name a few, and they’ve got no plans to stop bringing to New Zealand the hottest dance acts the world has to offer. With their recent signing to Redrum Touring agency, The Beat Mafia are gearing up to penetrate the Australasian dance scene even further moving into 2012, watch this space!
