About DJ Solly: Solly - D.I.P (Doin It Proper) Brent Solomon was introduced to Music from the age of 7 first by his Dad with the likes of Led Zep and Pink Floyd, later his Brother gave him a taste of Hip Hop.After 10 years living in Auckland he bought a set of decks and by 2007 5 years of DJing House, Hip Hop and Funk turned into production talent with old friend Dave Rollie, but he still keeps the fundamental Groove and Funk as the corner stone of the music his plays and makes today.
Under the producer name One Funky Soul, Solly has started his own label FUNKIN DONUTS with the first release coming to your stereo very soon.
Finally Solly is dedicated to keeping the Vinyl Culture alive and kicking at his regular night 7HEAVEN at Rakinos.
. His regular night 7Heaven at Rakinos where only 45's are played all night is always featured here on Mukuna - Thank god for Base FM and thank God for Vinyl. 2- 4 Fridays on Base FM.
