PAST EVENT
• ODELAY!
• Flight Lounge
• Friday November 2nd
• 10pm til late
Odelay or Órale is a common interjection in Mexican slang which can be likened to the English equivalent "Word" or "Right On".
The term has varying connotations, including an affirmation that something is impressive...
It's with this in mind that we set out to bring a monthly party to the plush environment of Flight Lounge that embraces this sentiment.
We have carefully chose four DJs, who know what's up when it comes to delivering great music that will get your feet to the dance floor.
This month we have:
Mark Emerson (George FM)
Ryan Enzed (Bazooka Records)
Jaycen A'mour (Big Fish Recordings)
Brett Bronze
$5 Sapporo, Coopers pale ale and House wine all night
House | Indie/Nu Disco | Big Room | Progressive | Eclectic | Electro | Industry Standard Entertainment | Snapstar Live | Biggie.co.nz | Flight Lounge
About Mark Emerson: VJ equipment retailer. Longtime show host on George FM and UPFM. Has supported Eric Morillo, Sasha, John Digweed, Mogui, Steve Angello.
About Jaycen A'mour: Jaycen has always bucked the trends & stayed true to himself. Blurring the lines that define genre, he can’t be pigeon holed as a pure style DJ. While this has made things harder for him in the past, it now defines him as a DJ. Beginning with Vinyl he learned the fundamentals of mixing but as times change, so has the format. Sadly, the Digital age has rendered the Turntable all but obsolete. So now that ‘Everyone is a DJ’ he still manages to wow partygoers by keeping it fresh and fun. - Facebook
Brett Bronze has been ‘in’ the Auckland scene since 2007 as he played his first main set at Space Bar, Newmarket for “Twisted Inverno”.
Since that set he has been in demand from promoters far and wide with the opportunity to play his specialty sets over approximately 500 sets not to mention the hours put into his old Up Fm radio show that spanned 3 years, “Crooked Grind” was another reason he managed to keep getting booked for decent events.
He considers himself lucky to have been able to play at a lot of the best venues around New Zealand and intends on making the most of his time as a DJ. Inspired by the likes of Greg Churchill, Angela Fisken, Tim Richards & Mark Emerson, Brett really aims for a fusion of all their styles ranging from dirty house, humming tech, blips + bleeps and generally pleasant frequencies.
Gaining praise from many that have endured his sets as he is not ashamed to sometimes dabble in something daring or unpopular to the regular party-goer, only to impress the critics with something new & enjoyable.
Favourite producers of all time, Autistic, Fabrizio Pettorelli, Gaiser, Olivier Giacomotto, Bart B More, Nom De Strip, Hijack, Congorock, End-Jy, Greg Churchill, Dick Magik Johnson, Ditto, Mickey Slim, Bassjackers & more
