About Gwaan Gal: (AKA Alicia Slater) Playing out since the late 1990s. Spent a couple of years in Melbourne, then returned to NZ in 2004 and started Buss It Up, Auckland's biggest dancehall night. Attended the 2005 Redbull Music Academy in Seattle. Was sales manager for Jugglin' Records, writer for Back2Basics magazine and 1/2 of the Jugglin' Crew (with FJ).
